ABOUT
Julee Blue is a dynamic, independent singer-songwriter born & raised in New York - currently located in Texas. Julee Blue blends the soul of classic rock from the 70s and 80s with the raw honesty of lived experience. Winner of the Josie Music Award for Best Female Pop Artist (2018)—selected from over 13,000 submissions—Julee has built a reputation for her powerful yet tender voice, often likened to Alanis Morissette, Jewel, and Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries). She has 15 years of experience performing live across the US with 500+ shows performed. She actively promotes all shows on social media.

Songwriting since the age of eight, Julee channels both personal stories and universal themes into her music. As a mental health advocate and mental health provider, she uses her platform to shine a light on the realities of mental illness—writing from her own personal lived experience. Her artistry reflects deep influences from John Lennon, David Bowie, and Freddie Mercury (Queen), with a lyrical style that is both poetic and unflinchingly real.

Julee has several original songs (e.g., Northern Roots and Hung/Over) available on all music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc). Each release showcases her signature blend of heartfelt lyricism and classic-meets-modern rock sound.

Beyond music, she is a graduate of SUNY Oswego (BA, 2017) and Teachers College, Columbia University (MA, 2020), and is currently pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology. Balancing artistry with advocacy, she continues to create songs that resonate with both emotional depth and timeless rock influence.
